Keratiloe is a Candidate Attorney at CMS South Africa.

Before joining CMS,  he worked at a transport management company providing services to the government, particularly supporting various Bus Rapid Transport systems and bus monitoring services.

Keratiloe then joined CMS as a Legal Assistant in the Banking & Finance department, where he was responsible for administrative tasks such as preparing fee quotes; drafting Letters of Engagement; and managing KYC/FICA processes. As the year progressed, Keratiloe transitioned into a paralegal-focused role, taking on more responsibility in legal matters. He became involved in drafting security documents; reviewing facility agreements; assisting with condition precedent calls and collation among other tasks.
 

Relevant experience

  • African Development Bank Group – assisted with a significant 25-year, $1 billion (ZAR 18 billion) loan to Transnet SOC Limited. This loan is backed by a guarantee from the Government of South Africa and is a key part of Transnet’s recovery plan.
  • The Standard bank of South Africa Limited - in connection with a $40 million corporate facility to a Mozambican cement company.
  • A large South African rail, port and pipeline company – in connection with a ZAR3 billion term loan facility from an American multinational investment bank.
  • A multinational banking and financial services conglomerate – in connection with an Islamic finance facility agreement template.
