Nomonde is an Associate in the Employment team at CMS South Africa

Nomonde is an Associate in the Employment team with substantial experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment and labour matters across a variety of industries including, but not limited to, financial services, mining, telecommunications, hospitality and fast moving consumer goods.

Her experience includes advising and assisting clients with regards to employment equity compliance; section 197 and 189 restructures; review applications and appeals in the Labour Appeal Court; collective labour law disputes; and POPIA and pension law issues. She has experience in chairing and initiating disciplinary and grievance hearings and providing written outcomes. 

Nomonde also has litigation and drafting experience of various pleadings and submissions at the CCMA; Labour Court and Labour Appeal Court and has experience in litigation in relation to restraint of trade breaches; unfair dismissal disputes; unfair labour practice disputes; labour broker and deemed employee disputes and unfair discrimination disputes; conducting due diligences and providing due diligence reports; conducting investigations into misconduct and harassment issues in the workplace; providing training to various clients on various topics including; running a disciplinary hearing and arbitrations; and basic conditions of employment and employment equity.
