CMS is delighted to have advised Tamela Capital Partners (acting on behalf of the Tamela Mezzanine Debt Fund I Partnership) in providing a mezzanine loan facility to The Digs, a company that provides purpose built student accommodation at the medical and health campus at the University of Stellenbosch.
Over the past couple of years, we have seen in the news that tension between the supply and demand of student housing. This investment will increase The Digs’ student portfolio for housing undergraduate and postgraduate students, and simultaneously provide a secure learning environment for students at the Tygerberg campus. It is a step in alleviating tension of student housing in our tertiary institutions.
