The airport is located outside the city center and it’s a 45 minute drive. You have several options to reach city center, where our office is located.
Bus – The company responsible for bus transportation from the airport is SAM. After you leave the arrivals hall, follow the main road and keep on the right hand side. After approximately 100 meters you will find a bus stop. The ticket to Funchal is payable on board and only costs a few Euros.
Taxi – There are plenty of friendly taxi drivers at your disposal who will be glad to take you anywhere you want. The airport taxi rank is located outside the arrival lounge, just look for the yellow cars with blue stripes and a 'TAXI' sign on top. The trip will cost you between 17,5€ and 22,50€ .
Rent-a-car – You may book a rental car at the airport and follow directions bellow to the city center.
Take VR1 located about 800 meters (2 min) from the airport and indicated.
Take VR1 until Street Ribeiro de João Gomes and then take exit 12 (about 13 min)
Choose Road Luso Brasileira, R. Pedro José de Ornelas, R. Alferes Veiga Pestana, R. dos Ferreiros Estrada and Tv. das Capuchinhas para a R. Conselheiro José Silvestre Ribeiro.
