As a (junior) associate, you will learn the basics of the profession by working on exciting cases and helping to solve complex legal issues. Your mentoring partner will empower and challenge you in the best way on your path to becoming an attorney-at-law, providing significant support as you grow your expertise. Regular feedback loops will enable you to tap your fullest potential, and to develop and expand your mastery of the professional tools and methods you need as a lawyer.
At our CMS Academy, partners and attorneys-at-law give lectures on various legal topics. A lot of insights are shared, and you will also be exposed to different styles. Topics such as negotiation techniques, presentation skills and legal writing are also discussed. You will benefit not only professionally, but also personally. At the CMS Academy, you will engage with colleagues across different departments and therefore network right from the outset.
The further you progress towards becoming an attorney-at-law, the more individualised your advancement will be. Step by step, you will assume more responsibility and take on more challenging tasks. Because we put the focus on your growth, we conduct annual performance reviews, where you and your manager agree on goals as well as personalised training and further education opportunities.
