Bank Austria and pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank have jointly underwritten a € 300 million facility for IMMOFINANZ Group. The loans will be used to refinance a mixed real estate portfolio, primarily made up of office and retail space properties. The overall 38 properties have about 218,000 square metres of Gross Leasable Area (GLA). The majority of the assets are located in Vienna.
International law firm CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz advised the two creditors Bank Austria and pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank throughout the whole transaction. A team of seven CMS experts headed by CMS Partner Günther Hanslik offered expertise on financing, property and corporate law aspects. In this project, Günther Hanslik (partner, banking & finance) was supported by Anna Konopka (attorney-at-law, banking & finance), Andreas Göller (attorney-at-law, banking & finance, corporate), and Ioanna Ovadias (associate, banking & finance, corporate), as well as Johannes Hysek (partner, real estate), Martin Trapichler (attorney-at-law, real estate) and Martin Schweinberger (associate, real estate).
“We are happy that we could contribute our long-standing, specialist expertise to this truly singular financing transaction on the Austrian real-estate market”, says banking and finance expert Günther Hanslik, looking back on the team’s work on this project.
