CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz Celebrates Opening of New Head Office

About 400 invited guests enjoyed a far-reaching view – in more than one way

22/03/2013

With the relocation successfully completed several weeks ago, CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz hosted the official office opening yesterday evening. The new office reflects the strong growth experienced over the past few years. The international law firm is proud of its continuously growing volume of legal and tax services provided to clients not only in Austria, but also in CEE.

The new head office of CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz Rechtsanwälte GmbH is located opposite the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Yesterday evening, the new office rooms in Gauermanngasse 2 were inaugurated together with 400 clients, business partners and friends of the firm. CMS Chairman Cornelius Brandi and CEO of ÖBB-Holding AG Christian Kern gave addresses of welcome. Birgit Kuras, Member of the Management Board of Wiener Börse AG, had kindly agreed to give the keynote address, in which she congratulated Managing Partner Peter Huber and the entire CMS team on their accomplishments of the past years.

Architect Ernst Mayr, renowned for designing Vienna’s Central Library at Urban-Loritz-Platz, was responsible for the architectural design of the new office covering nearly 4,000 square metres on three levels. The first and second top floors were newly added to the building. Not only did they offer the guests an amazing view of the city, Managing Partner Peter Huber also took the opportunity to make a far-reaching announcement. “We have named our office conference rooms after our CEE offices. As you can see, there is also a meeting room named “Turkey”. This is not just an empty phrase – we are currently working on establishing an office on site. After the office openings in Montenegro and Barcelona in recent years as well as the opening of our CMS office in Dubai at the beginning of 2013, we will seamlessly continue our expansion course in the middle of this year.”

The guests of yesterday’s office opening included, among others:

Dipl.-Ing. Walter Boltz (CEO Energie-Control GmbH), Dr. Jesco Von Kistowski (CEO Econ Gas GmbH), Mag. Franz Lanschützer (Managing Partner, EPIC European Privatization & Investment Corporation), Mag. Dr. Michael Längle (Chief Financial Officer, RAG Rohöl-Aufsuchungs Aktiengesellschaft), Mag. Heinz Luttenberger (Kfm. Vorstand ESW Eisenwerk Sulzau-Werfen R. & E. Weinberger AG), Peter Püspök (Supervisory Board, Verbund AG),

Dkfm. Claus J. Raidl (President, Österreichische Nationalbank), Dr. Karl Stoss (General Manager Casinos Austria AG).

Law & Art

The new location of the CMS office opposite the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna could not have been chosen more appropriately, given the numerous select pieces of art featured in the new office rooms, which delighted the guests present at the office opening. From Plamen Dejanoff’s golden vacuum cleaner and Heimo Zobernig’s typographic painting “REAL-EGAL” to Gabi Trinkaus’ large-format collage opposite the spiral staircase, the architectural centrepiece and connecting element of the office, about 350 objects by renowned artists give the new office an almost gallery-like atmosphere. All of this thanks to Bernhard Hainz, partner at CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz and ardent private collector of art, who exhibits pieces of art with a focus on Austrian classical modernism and contemporary art in the office.
