Catherina Briem joined CMS in May 2023 as an associate, specialising primarily in tax law and general corporate law. Previously, she had worked for the CMS transactions team as a paralegal since October 2021.
In addition to a Master's degree in business law, she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. During her studies, she gained extensive experience in internationally renowned programmes, such as the research project of the EUCOTAX programme in 2022 and the Global Advancement Programme of the United Nations Youth and Student Association of Austria. She also participated in the General Data Protection Regulation Moot Court. Moreover, she worked as an intern and paralegal at commercial law firms, before completing her court internship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Vienna.
