Michael Marschall is a partner with more than 11 years of experience advising on complex cross-border M&A and joint ventures across Austria and CEE. His practice covers private M&A, joint ventures and strategic alliances, corporate reorganisations and commercial agreements, as well as business succession, buy-and-build projects and carve-out transactions. He advises domestic and international corporates, investors and entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on complex and cross-border matters. Michael Marschall brings extensive experience across a range of industries, including energy, technology and consumer-related businesses. His transaction experience includes cross-border joint ventures, carve-out acquisitions and divestments, as well as complex shareholder and cooperation arrangements. He has advised clients throughout the lifecycle of strategic transactions and partnerships, from initial structuring and negotiation through implementation, governance and, where relevant, reorganisation or exit.
Michael Marschall is also the co-editor of the Praxishandbuch Joint Ventures, published by Linde Verlag in 2026. The practice guide brings together contributions from legal and in-house practitioners and examines the full lifecycle of joint ventures, from initial structuring through ongoing cooperation to exit. He is author of several publications in the fields of Austrian corporate law and lecturer at the business university of Vienna (WU Wien).
