CMS Sofia assists in successful licensing for natural gas trading of REA Energia SLU in Bulgaria

CMS Sofia has assisted in the successful licensing of REA Energia SLU for natural gas trading in Bulgaria by the Bulgarian Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC). The main investor in the licensee is Swiss company New Commodity Trading AG. The term of the license is ten years.

CMS provided regulatory and legal support during all stages of the preparatory process for the licensing of the licensee before EWRC, with the CMS team appearing during the open hearings at EWRC and addressing all additional requests raised by the Bulgarian regulator.

The CMS Sofia team was led by Kostadin Sirleshtov, Managing Partner at CMS Sofia, and included Elena Yotova-Yordanova, Viktoriya Dimitrova-Toneva and Niya Ivanova (EPC).
