Elena is a senior associate in CMS Sofia’s Energy, Projects and Construction (EPC) team. Before joining the EPC practice, she gained substantial experience in the firm’s Litigation, Arbitration, Insurance and Employment (LAIE) department. 

Elena is regularly involved in regulatory matters for renewable energy clients. She has advised energy clients on investment opportunities in Bulgaria, on M&A transactions, on the development of greenfield projects, and on various other contentious and non-contentious matters in this dynamic sector. Elena is also involved in licensing procedures for energy traders in Bulgaria.

Before joining CMS, Elena worked in the legal department of one of the major international real estate developers in Bulgaria, where she assisted in several real estate transactions, dealt with development issues, and construction related matters and procedures.
