Stuttgart – Allianz Real Estate has acquired a 70,000 square metre logistics facility in Norrköping, Sweden, from Swedish logistics developer Infrahubs. Allianz Real Estate acquired the asset for around EUR 85 million on behalf of several companies in the Allianz Group for its growing Nordics portfolio. The recently completed building is strategically located in the logistics “golden triangle” in Sweden, connecting the capitals of Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden. The acquisition of the logistics facility is also intended to support Allianz Real Estate’s commitment to ESG through the installation of one of the largest solar panel arrays in Sweden.
An international CMS team headed by partners Dr Kai Wallisch and Dr Volker Zerr advised Allianz on all legal aspects of this acquisition. Allianz Real Estate has also previously relied on the expertise of CMS. Recent instructions include advising Allianz on the formation of a joint venture with Heimstaden and on the sale of Galeries Lafayette in Berlin.
