CMS advises Berlin-based SaaS start-up liftOS on pre-seed financing round

15/03/2023

Frankfurt/Main – Berlin-based start-up liftOS has raised USD 1 million in a pre-seed round of financing. The round was led by BackBone Ventures. The other investors include Pitchdrive and prominent angel investors such as Oliver Mickler (Unzer), Lukas Zörner (Penta), Marius Jeuck (HeyJobs), Marcus Erken (Sunfish Partners) and others. liftOS intends to use the capital to develop software infrastructure that enables work teams to use their many SaaS tools more productively.

A CMS team headed by lead partner Dr Florian Plagemann advised liftOS on all legal aspects of the financing round. The start-up is a member of equIP, CMS’s own start-up support programme. The aim of the programme is to support start-ups and young innovative companies. To achieve this, CMS offers these companies comprehensive legal advice while also promoting their business goals.

The core element of liftOS is a modular productivity platform into which commonly used SaaS software is integrated. It is intended to provide users with a standardised and more compact solution for interacting with their entire software. Over the course of time, liftOS will open up its API to developers worldwide so that they can develop and launch their applications directly in liftOS.
