Frankfurt, 15.11.2024 – BNP Paribas Développement, together with Argos Wityu and another co-investor, has acquired Lavatio GmbH, one of the leading companies for B2B textile rental and laundry services in Germany. With its commitment, the French private equity fund BNP Paribas Développement is supporting Lavatio's growth and sustainability strategy while contributing its expertise in sustainable investment. This partnership is expected to both expand Lavatio's geographic reach and drive innovative approaches to decarbonization in the textile and laundry sector. Lavatio, headquartered in Hünfeld, Germany, provides comprehensive textile rental and laundry services to more than 2,200 customers in the hospitality, food service, healthcare and workwear sectors in Germany and Switzerland. The company operates eight own laundries and works with over 50 partner laundries to ensure broad regional coverage. The company processes over 230 tons of laundry daily and focuses on the highest efficiency and quality in all processes from procurement to logistics to final inspection. The new shareholders will support Lavatio in achieving ambitious growth targets that include both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. At the same time, a particular focus will be placed on the company's ecological transformation. Planned measures include the use of more sustainable textiles, greater use of green electricity and a reduction in energy and water consumption. US investor Insight Partners joined the financing round for the first time. Existing investors HV Capital, HarbourVest, H14 and Cherry Ventures also took part in the round.
