CMS advises founders of DAA Deutsche Auftragsagentur on sale to Bosch Thermotechnik

12/04/2017

Berlin – Heating engineering firm Bosch Thermotechnik GmbH is seeking to acquire DAA Deutsche Auftragsagentur GmbH (DAA), which operates specialist portals relating to house building and renovation. DAA will continue to operate as an independent unit after the acquisition. For Bosch, this is an investment in digitally networked services. The acquisition is currently awaiting approval from the competition authorities. The purchase price was not disclosed.

The Berlin CMS team headed by partners Dr Jörg Zätzsch, Jesko Nobiling and Dr Ole Jani advised the founders of DAA on all legal aspects of the transaction. The team has previously acted on behalf of young digital companies as sellers on several occasions.

With offices in Hamburg and Cologne, DAA operates various online portals dedicated to energy-saving upgrades, building renovation and renewable energy. Formed in 2010, the company employs some 40 people.

Wetzlar-based Bosch Thermotechnik GmbH is a leading European manufacturer of energy-efficient heating products and warm-water solutions. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH. In the 2016 financial year, the company’s 14,300 employees generated sales of around EUR 3.3 billion.
