CMS advises managing shareholders of Pinion GmbH on partial sale of shares to Bombardier Recreational Products

Stuttgart – Canadian company Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP) has acquired a majority 80% stake in Pinion GmbH, a gearbox specialist for bicycles and e-bikes which is based in the Stuttgart area. The current management team at Pinion GmbH sold some of their shares to BRP along with the shareholder families, but will remain active in the company. Pinion develops and markets mechanical gearboxes for conventional bicycles and e-bikes. The strategic partnership with Bombardier is aimed at driving further growth of Pinion GmbH. BRP’s portfolio includes powersport products, drive systems and boats.

A CMS team headed by lead partner Dr Peter Baisch advised two managing shareholders on all legal aspects of the transaction.
