CMS advises Ocon on sale of its shares to outsourcing specialist Webhelp

22/02/2017

Stuttgart – The founding shareholders of Ocon Office Concept GmbH have sold their shares to Webhelp, a global provider of business process outsourcing services. Subject to approval from the German Federal Cartel Office, the transaction is expected to complete at the end of March. The purchase price was not disclosed.

A team headed by lead partner Dr Claus-Peter Fabian advised the (co-)founders and sole shareholders of Ocon Office Concept GmbH on all aspects of selling their shares.

Established in 1998, Ocon Office Concept GmbH is an owner-managed, family-owned company with many years’ experience in supporting clients from the premium segment. It operates a service centre for business process outsourcing (BPO) in the Stuttgart area, which has now been sold to Webhelp.

This acquisition enables Webhelp to strengthen its market position by extending its fields of expertise to the automotive, retail, technology and public sectors. It also allows Webhelp to stay abreast of the challenging market changes caused by digitisation and to respond to increasingly diversified customer and consumer expectations.

Webhelp has more than 35,000 employees and specialises in the interaction between companies and their customers. Webhelp’s outsourcing portfolio also includes services relating to payment processing, sales and marketing. Private equity investor KKR has held a stake in the company since February 2016.
