Berlin – Hauptstadtsee 608 GmbH, which is held by a fund managed by a large Spanish bank, has sold the Berlin office/commercial building at Tauentzienstraße 7 B-C to a special real estate fund managed by Quantum Immobilien Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft mbH. The property enjoys a prime Berlin location and offers almost 10,000 square metres of space. The anchor tenant, clothing retailer Uniqlo, occupies all of the building’s retail space. The Berlin store was the Japanese company’s first site in Germany. The purchase price has not been disclosed.

A team from CMS in Germany headed by lead partner Dr Andreas Otto advised the seller side on all legal aspects of the transaction. The law firm previously advised the seller on the purchase of the property and on concluding the lease. Hauptstadtsee 608 was also advised by JLL. A team from Pöllath+Partners provided the buyer with legal advice.

The mixed-use, eight storey property was built in 1999 on a 1,900-square-metre prime site in a prominent corner location. The building’s 35-metre frontage faces Tauentzienstraße.
