Munich – The office and retail building at Gänsemarkt 45 in downtown Hamburg has been sold by Invesco Real Estate to Tishman Speyer Investment Management, which is acting on behalf of insurer Versicherungskammer Bayern. The building offers around 2,800 square metres of retail space and some 9,000 square metres of office space. Further details of the transaction and the purchase price were not disclosed.
A CMS team headed by Dr Oliver Thurn advised global property investment manager Invesco Real Estate on all legal aspects of selling the property. CMS has also advised Invesco Real Estate in the past, including on acquisition of the Gänsemarkt 45 building in 2011. Following the purchase, Invesco Real Estate also instructed CMS with regard to legal issues around asset management.
