Munich – Listed private equity holding company Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, based in Munich, has received a put option for the sale of wood product supplier Norsilk to Protac, part of Groupe Rose end of July. If the option is accepted after the opinion of the works council, the closing of the transaction could occur during the third quarter of 2021. For Mutares, this is the sixth exit in this year.
An international CMS team headed by Dr Michael Wangemann, Dr Jessica Mohaupt-Schneider and Thomas Hains advised Mutares on all legal aspects of the transaction.
Mutares acquired Norsilk from the Finnish Metsä Group in 2015 and integrated it into the Donges Group in 2019 after a successful restructuring. The company employs around 100 people in Bouleville and Honfleur and expects a turnover of approximately EUR 50 million in 2021.
