CMS advises Schweizer Electronic AG on investment by Infineon

Stuttgart – Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies AG has acquired a 9.4% stake in listed PCB manufacturer Schweizer Electronic AG. It published a corresponding ad hoc notice today. Working with Schweizer Electronic, Infineon intends to develop technologies for integration of power semiconductors into PCBs, focusing on automotive and industrial applications.

A team led by Dr Regine Hagen-Eck advised Schweizer Electronic AG on the investment by Infineon. Schweizer Electronic AG, which is listed on the Stuttgart and Frankfurt stock exchanges, is a long-standing CMS client and has been advised by CMS on many other legal matters.

Technology company Schweizer Electronic AG was founded in 1849. Its global portfolio now includes the production of high-quality printed circuit boards and innovative services for automotive, solar, industrial and aviation electronics. Around 700 employees generated sales of approximately EUR 101 million in the 2013 financial year.

Infineon Technologies AG offers semiconductor and system solutions with a focus on energy efficiency, mobility and security. The company has some 26,700 employees worldwide and posted sales of EUR 3.84 billion in the 2013 financial year.
