CMS advises serviced apartment operator STAYERY on long-term strategic cooperation agreement with CBRE Global Investors and CR Investment

02/10/2019

London – STAYERY, a German-based operator of serviced boutique apartments, has entered into a long-term strategic collaboration with a joint venture consisting of CBRE Europe Value Partners 2 (EVP2), a value add fund managed by CBRE Global Investors, and CR Investment Management, a strategic investor and asset manager, to develop serviced apartments in Germany.

STAYERY has identified Germany's growing cities as an attractive market and offers in particular to young professionals innovative temporary accommodation with the comfort of an apartment and the service of a hotel. Project developments financed by the joint venture target cities with major business clusters or underdeveloped hotel markets. The main focus will also be on university towns. The first STAYERY building opened in Berlin in January 2019. Further apartment buildings are currently being built in Cologne, Frankfurt and Bielefeld.

STAYERY has already been advised by CMS Berlin on corporate and IP law for some time. The Berlin office was now able to contribute its real estate expertise for the first time.
