CMS advises SHERPA Robotics on growth partnership with MAFU
Frankfurt/Main – SHERPA Robotics GmbH has completed a financing round and gained a new growth partner in the MAFU Group; the company will operate under the name MAFU-SHERPA CNC Automation GmbH in future. The transaction underlines the strong momentum in the robotics and automation market and, in particular, strengthens the international scaling of innovative automation solutions in industrial SMEs.
A CMS team led by Dr Joachim Dietrich provided legal advice to SHERPA on structuring the financing round, negotiating the investment agreements and implementation under corporate law. Steinbeis M&A Partners GmbH acted as M&A advisor to the shareholders of SHERPA Robotics in the selection of a strategic partner and during negotiations.
The newly founded company, MAFU-SHERPA CNC Automation, is the technology and market leader for standardised robot cells for camera-controlled CNC automation. The company automates turning and milling machines - for small and medium-sized companies through to large-scale industry. Core competencies include camera-controlled recognition technology and standardised, modular systems such as the SherpaLoader.
