CMS Germany and Malta Enterprise Corporation, the Republic of Malta’s economic development agency, signed a comprehensive cooperation and secondment agreement on 4 March 2022.
CMS Germany has been cooperating with Malta Enterprise Corporation in the innovative and fast-moving life sciences sector since 2021. The aim of the new agreement is to extend this cooperation to cover the entire range of business in Malta. This will facilitate an exchange of expertise and close collaboration on business development. Starting in April 2022, Dr Susanne Pech (CMS Hamburg) and Dr Christoph Löffler (CMS Leipzig) will be the first two lawyers from the Life Sciences and Corporate M&A practices to be seconded to Malta Enterprise Corporation, with the aim of establishing a local network.
Dr Jörn Witt, Dr Jörg Lips and Detlef Bischoff, who is an honorary consul of the Republic of Malta, are supporting this expansion of the existing relationship.
