CMS Hasche Sigle advises on growth funding for TouGas Oilfield Solutions GmbH

Frankfurt am Main – Investment companies Conduit Ventures and ENERTECH have taken an equity interest in TouGas Oilfield Solutions GmbH to finance its expansion. TouGas is a young German specialty chemicals firm operating in the field of natural gas and crude oil production, based in Frankfurt am Main.

A team from CMS Hasche Sigle led by lead partner Dr Martin Bell advised TouGas on all aspects of the investment by Conduit Ventures and ENERTECH Holding.

TouGas was established at the start of this year as a spin-off of Allessa GmbH. TouGas intends to apply its specialist expertise to the development and worldwide marketing of chemicals and technologies related to hydraulic fracturing ("fracking"), oil and gas well stimulation, as well as enhanced oil and gas recovery.

London-based Conduit Ventures is an independent fund manager that invests worldwide in high-growth firms in the power and energy sector. The capital for the funds managed by Conduit Ventures is sourced from top tier industrial groups, sovereign wealth funds and institutional investors.

ENERTECH Holding is a subsidiary of the Kuwait Investment Authority, with a mission to initiate its own projects and participate in projects within the energy, clean tech, recycling, water, waste management and renewable energy sectors, both regionally and internationally.

Allessa GmbH is a major European toll manufacturer of fine chemicals and functional polymers. The company employs around 900 people at three production sites in Frankfurt am Main.
