CMS Hasche Sigle advises on merger of paper wholesalers
Drissler & Co. Papiergroßhandel GmbH & Co. KG has sold its operative business to IGEPA Papiergroßhandel GmbH. Drissler & Co. was advised during this transaction by a team led by partner, Dr Heike Wagner. The transaction is still subject to the approval by the Federal Cartel Office.
With approx. 200 employees at its locations in Dietzenbach, Mannheim and Kassel, Drissler
& Co. sells about 130,000 tons of paper annually. The company is the founding shareholder of
the current Igepa group, one of the leading paper wholesalers in Europe with over 40,000 customers.
The group is represented in over 50 locations in 25 countries. With approx. 2,350 employees, the
Igepa group and its strategic partners throughout Europe generated turnover of EUR 1.65 billion in
2007.
