Hamburg – TrelleborgVibracoustic GmbH of Darmstadt, Germany, in which Freudenberg SE and Trelleborg AB of Sweden each have a 50 per cent stake, has formed an international joint venture with the shareholders of Turkish HSS Otomotiv in the area of commercial vehicle air springs.
As part of the joint venture, a company called Vibracoustic CV Air Springs GmbH has been set up in Hamburg. TrelleborgVibracoustic has a majority share in the company, to which both partners have contributed their commercial vehicle air spring operations.
A team led by Hamburg-based corporate partner Dr Henrik Drinkuth advised TrelleborgVibracoustic GmbH on all aspects of the joint venture.
With its Aircruise and Blacktech brands, the joint venture will serve both OEM customers and the independent aftermarket worldwide. The joint venture will employ more than 600 employees globally at locations in Germany, Turkiye, Hungary, the US and China.
