München, 12.12.2024 – Commercial law firm CMS is strengthening its Tax practice by hiring Dr Andreas Eggert with effect from 1 January 2025. He will join the firm as a partner at CMS’s Munich location.

Previously with Hogan Lovells, Dr Andreas Eggert will provide advice on all aspects of transaction tax law and international tax matters. He brings with him particular experience in advising on and structuring complex tax and legal projects, while also advising companies on transfer pricing and tax compliance issues. The addition of Dr Andreas Eggert brings the total number of partners in CMS’s Tax practice in Germany to eleven as of the start of 2025. Partners Thomas Gerdel and Dr Martin Mohr are joint heads of the practice.

Thomas Gerdel: “Andreas Eggert’s extensive knowledge of the market and strong links will enable us to better meet demand for high-quality advice.” The broadly-based Tax practice at CMS leverages a team that brings together the best minds across multiple locations and the entire business, thus ensuring excellent advice. “We are delighted that Andreas Eggert is strengthening our practice. His commitment will play a key role in reinforcing the transaction tax law section at CMS and provide fresh impetus,” Dr Martin Mohr added.
