International CMS team advises automation company HIMA on acquisition of Sella Controls

Frankfurt/Main – The HIMA Group has acquired UK system integrator Sella Controls, including its subsidiaries, with effect from 1 February 2023. HIMA specialises in safety-related automation solutions and is based in Brühl (Baden-Württemberg). Sella Controls holds a leading market position in the UK and Ireland. The two companies are building on a longstanding and successful working relationship. The acquisition will enable HIMA and Sella Controls to continue their growth strategies and expand their range of solutions. By joining forces, HIMA is aiming to enhance its position as a leading supplier of safetyrelated automation solutions for the process and rail industries. Further details of the transaction were not disclosed.

A cross-border CMS team headed by lead partners Dr Hendrik Hirsch from CMS Germany and Graeme Bruce from CMS UK along with Dr Berrit Roth-Mingram (CMS Germany) and Alastair McNaughton (CMS UK) advised HIMA on all legal aspects of the acquisition.
