Neckermann stable for the time being – new offers for loyal customers

Frankfurt am Main – Neckermann is dispatching goods and orders are being accepted! The threat of operational collapse at Neckermann has been averted and the company has been stabilised for now. Following intensive negotiations with the main creditors, the Federal Employment Agency and suppliers, business operations and the purchasing/sale of goods have been safeguarded for the present. Goods are being sent out and the backlog of deliveries will be cleared in the next few days. Staff wages and salaries will be financed in advance through compensation for loss of earnings due to insolvency and will be paid on time.

Neckermann is asking all suppliers and customers for their loyalty and support. A special "loyalty line" of offers such as washing machines, fridges, dryers and TVs will be available at typical Neckermann value-for-money prices from Saturday onwards. Additional loyalty offers will be available next week, with details in the online shop at www.neckermann.de.

The provisional insolvency administrator, Michael Frege, comments: "The employees are willing to fight for Neckermann and their jobs. They are highly motivated to deal with customer orders punctually and reliably. Now that business operations have been stabilised, the next challenge is to find an investor to take over healthy core areas and continue the business."

The provisional insolvency administrator is doing everything to save the company. The first potential investors are already examining the business. Investors could be interested in the e-commerce platform, the logistics division and the plus size business, for example. This investigation phase is expected to last three to four weeks. A status update can only be provided once that phase has been completed.
