New build MainTor: CMS Hasche Sigle moves into Frankfurt's riverside financial district

18/01/2016

Frankfurt – The Frankfurt office of commercial law firm CMS Hasche Sigle has moved to new premises on the river Main, adjoining the city’s banking district. As of today, the 82 lawyers and 120 employees based at CMS Frankfurt work in the new MainTor Panorama building at Neue Mainzer Straße 2-4.

"We are delighted about moving to such an impressive and attractive building in Frankfurt's banking quarter. It brings us even closer to our clients and underlines our strong position in the market, which is backed by highly qualified, real-world advice. We recently strengthened the Banking & Finance practice by adding high-calibre lateral hires, making our proposition even more compelling," said General Managing Partner Dr Hubertus Kolster. "Through focused expansion of its advice on capital markets, fund structuring and asset management, CMS is consolidating its leading role in the German legal services market," commented Dr Andreas Zanner, Managing Partner of CMS in Frankfurt.

The MainTor Panorama building was designed by well-known German architect and town planner Prof. Christoph Mäckler and is located in the historic heart of Frankfurt. Until the 19th century, the site was home to the Untermaintor gate, a symbol of Frankfurt’s status as a trading centre. The MainTor Quarter, of which the MainTor Panorama building forms part, was recognised in 2012 with the MIPIM Award as an outstanding real estate project, and received the immobilienmanager.AWARD in 2013 from prestigious magazine "Immobilienmanager" in the Communication/Marketing category.

CMS has taken nine floors in the MainTor Panorama building. The space includes 250 office workstations, 18 multifunctional conference and meeting rooms, as well as a 520 sq m roof terrace with views across the river Main. The relocation took place without disrupting normal business operations, with the project team successfully overcoming the associated challenges.
