Jana Nitzinger advises and represents national and international companies in complex commercial law disputes. Her practice focuses on strategic advice and litigation, particularly in the areas of product liability and the defence against consumer and class actions.
A particular focus of her work is advising companies in the automotive and mobility sector, specifically on disputes relating to liability and warranty law. She has extensive experience in coordinating cross-border proceedings, developing and implementing global defence strategies, and in international claims management. In addition, she assists clients in managing complex data protection disputes.
Jana Nitzinger heads the Litigation practice within the Dispute Resolution AI Taskforce at CMS in Germany and plays a key role in shaping the use of artificial intelligence in the field of dispute resolution. Working closely with lawyers and IT experts, she develops AI-supported solutions that enable faster analysis of complex issues, more efficient management of mass and large-scale proceedings, and more cost-effective handling of legal disputes.
Jana Nitzinger has been a lawyer at CMS since 2019. She was appointed Counsel in 2025.
