Jochen Schlotter’s practice focuses on stock corporation and capital markets law, taking care of (annual and extraordinary) general meetings for listed companies and advising them on an ongoing basis on corporate governance issues and the fulfilment of their obligations under capital markets law. He also advises companies on public takeovers and the structuring of groups. In addition, Jochen is a notary and in this capacity regularly involved in corporate transactions, restructurings and changes of corporate form.
Jochen joined CMS in 2001 and became a partner in 2007. In 2008, he was seconded to CMS Madrid and has since been part of the firm’s German-Spanish desk. He teaches at different German academic institutions, such as EBS (European Business School) in Wiesbaden, the University of Münster, where he is a lecturer for the university’s LL.M. programme, and the University of Heidelberg’s law department. Jochen is also among the authors of “Beurkundung von Unternehmenstransaktionen“ (Notarisation of Corporate Transactions), a practical guide published by one of Germany’s leading legal publishers.
