Lukas Burgdorff advises companies in the pharmaceutical, medical devices and consumer goods sectors on IP law, unfair competition law and healthcare advertising law.

He has special anti-piracy expertise, handling counterfeiting cases under both civil and criminal law. Lukas also advises his clients on all aspects of trademark law. Further, he is regularly involved in the drafting of contracts.

Lukas joined CMS in 2023 after two years as in-house lawyer with Continental AG.

  • 2020: Second state examination in law
  • 2018 - 2020: Trainee lawyer at Duesseldorf Higher Regional Court including placements at CMS Hasche Sigle in Duesseldorf and at a boutique IP law firm in Hamburg

  • 2012 - 2018: Law studies at the University of Goettingen including term abroad at ELTE University in Budapest
