CMS advises Sunrise Medical on the acquisition of Ergoflix Group
Stuttgart – Sunrise Medical Holdings GmbH has acquired all shares in Ergoflix Group GmbH, a Hamminkeln-headquartered market leader in Germany’s premium foldable power wheelchair segment. The acquisition strengthens Sunrise Medical’s Premium Standard (Lifestyle) Rehabilitation offering, complementing its long-standing leadership in Complex Rehabilitation.
A CMS team led by Dr Christoph Lächler and Daniel Mahn provided comprehensive legal advice and advised Sunrise Medical as a new client on all relevant issues connected with the transaction. The range of advice provided included, in particular, transaction law advice and structuring as well as aspects of medical device law.
Sunrise Medical has been a portfolio company of Platinum Equity since 2024 and develops, produces and distributes manual and electric mobility solutions as well as systems for optimal sitting and positioning worldwide, serving both Premium Standard and Complex Rehabilitation needs. The company has an international presence with sales and distribution offices in 24 countries and production facilities in ten countries and employs over 3,000 people.
