Martin-Lukas Landmann specializes in the regulation of digital content and platforms. He particularly advises leading VOD (Video on Demand) and social media providers on the compliant design of their platforms, apps, and marketing in accordance with German and EU law. This includes all questions related to broadcasting, media, and advertising regulations, youth protection and youth media protection law, as well as consumer protection law, German GTC law, and EU platform law (especially the Digital Services Act).
Another focus of his work is advising media platforms, production companies, and other companies in the digital media sector on all matters of general media law, including the drafting and negotiation of complex media law contracts and representation in both extrajudicial and judicial disputes.
As part of the CMS equIP program, he also advises selected start-ups in the media industry.
Martin-Lukas Landmann began his legal career at CMS in 2017 and became counsel in 2025.
