Patricia Jares advises German and international clients on all aspects of individual and collective employment law, with a focus on (insolvency-related) restructuring and outsourcing measures and related strategic advice. In this context, she negotiates collective agreements, transition and restructuring agreements as well as reconciliations of interests and social compensation plans with unions and employee representatives. Alongside co-determination and advising on employee participation procedures in relation to the establishment of European Companies (SE), Patricia’s special areas of expertise include flexible working hours and the introduction of IT systems, particularly in the context of AI.

Patricia joined our Cologne office as associate in 2012 and was made principal counsel in 2020. In 2019, she was seconded to the employment team in the group legal department of a world’s leading professional services company in the areas of risk, strategy and people in New York. She is also co-head of the “Transactional Employment Law & Co-determination” excellence cluster within the firm’s employment law practice and a member of the CEE German Desk. Patricia started her legal career with the legal department of a globally leading US sports and media company.

Berlin, 20.06.2024 – Haufe Group SE, a leading B2B provider of integrated business and workplace solutions, has entered into an agreement to sell all the shares in Haufe-Lexware Real Estate AG to Aareon, a market leader in SaaS solutions for the property industry. The aim of the acquisition is to transfer Haufe-Lexware Real Estate AG’s existing ERP software solutions for the property and housing sector to the Aareon Group’s product portfolio. Completion of the deal is expected at the end of June 2024.A CMS team headed by partners Jesko Nobiling and Dr Jörg Zätzsch advised Haufe Group on all legal and tax aspects of the transaction.
