Sinje Maier advises mainly medium-sized companies in the mechanical engineering and plant construction sector and in the supply as well as trade industry on all aspects of of civil and commercial law, with a focus on operational issues in purchasing and procurement, production and distribution as well as on reviewing and drafting corresponding contracts.

Sinje has particular product compliance expertise, including product liability and product safety law. She advises clients on identifying and complying with German and European requirements for product rollouts in the European market. Sinje also advises and represents companies in asserting and defending warranty and product liability claims as well as in product recalls and notifications to the authorities. Her practice covers litigation before state courts and arbitration.

Sinje joined CMS in 2019 and has been counsel since 2023. Prior to that, she was a member of the dispute resolution team at two international commercial law firms.
