Luis Miguel de Dios is a Partner of the Corporate / M&A department at CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo and a member of the CMS Executive Committee. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions and possesses vast experience in corporate, contractual, securities marketing and banking law. He is also Head of the CMS German Desk in Spain.

He provides corporate advice to Spanish and foreign companies, having advised clients across various sectors including health care, retail, real estate, renewable energies, the automotive industry and insurance.

Relevant experience

  • Luis Miguel has advised sector-leading companies on a wide range of matters, including Iberdrola on the merger between Siemens and Gamesa, Acciona on the IPO of Endesa, TÜV SÜD on the acquisition of the Atisae group, Sinochem on the acquisition of Elix Polymers and Encavis AG on its entry into the Spanish market through the acquisition of a 300 MW photovoltaic plant project, among others.

  • He has been recognised for his work in Corporate / M&A by leading legal directories such as Chambers & Partners and Legal 500. In 2021 he once again was identified as a stand out lawyer by Acritas.

  • During the course of his extensive career, Luis Miguel de Dios has been invited to speak at numerous prestigious conferences and events, including the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in London and a number of leading universities in Spain.  He has also taught courses on securities market law at postgraduate level.
