Public Law Litigation
Key contacts
Whether you are asking the court to vindicate your rights or you are defending yourself, litigation is sometimes unavoidable in situations that involve public entities or in the broader context of public operations.
Such litigation can fall within any area of public law: general public law, local government law, public or private domain, concluding and performing contracts involving contracting authorities, public works operations, urban planning law, environmental law, industry regulations, etc.
We will work by your side in order to advise you during the pre-litigation phase and to consider alternative dispute resolution methods: from simple negotiation involving lawyers, which can lead to a settlement, to applying to specialized institutions (advisory committees for the voluntary resolution of public procurement disputes, mediators, arbitrators, etc.).
We will then represent you before the courts, in accordance with the strategy we have developed together and taking into account the specifics of the case, and will manage the entire litigation procedure on your behalf.
Our 23 lawyers have solid expertise in this area, due to the wide variety of cases they have handled and backed up by former members of the Conseil d’Etat who are now partners of our firm.
This variety is reflected in the type of judicial proceedings conducted in all areas of public law (interim relief, substantive procedures, expert assessments, interlocutory constitutional rulings, complaints, preliminary rulings, etc.) and the various institutions applied to:
- ordinary and specialised administrative courts: administrative tribunals, administrative courts of appeal, the Conseil d’Etat on first and last instance, the Cour des Comptes, the Budgetary and Financial Discipline Court, and the regional and territorial chambers of accounts;
- civil courts: civil, commercial, criminal, etc.;
- dispute resolution bodies of independent administrative authorities; the Energy Regulation Commission, the Competition Authority, etc.;
- Conseil Constitutionnel;
- European courts: General Court and Court of Justice of the European Union, European Court of Human Rights.
