CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre recently assisted BKW Energie within the scope of the Ascometal judicial reorganisation, a case that gave rise to the judgement of 22 May in which the Nanterre Commercial Court upheld the offer of the Sparkling Industry Group, supported by a group of French and European investors.
In addition to the iron and steel asset takeover offers already made, BKW Energie made an offer before the Nanterre Commercial Court to build a partnership to develop the Ascometal “run-of-the-river” hydroelectric power stations, for which it was already negotiating with Ascometal before the liquidation.
The CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre team for this case consisted of:
- Alexandre Bastos and Guillaume Bouté (Insolvency & Restructuring)
- Jacques Isnard and Thomas Hains (Corporate)
- Christophe Barthélemy and Aurore-Emmanuelle Rubio (Energy, Public Law)
- Laurent Hepp and Florian Burnat (Tax)
