Acquisition by Vedici and its controlling shareholder CVC Capital Partners of the entire capital of the Vitalia group from Blackstone.
On 17 July 2015, Vedici submitted a buyout offer for all capital and voting rights in the Vitalia group.
Vitalia is a private hospital group which currently operates 41 establishments around France. The group has more than 7,200 employees and more than 2,000 practitioners, for turnover of more than €600 million. The takeover of Vitalia by Vedici (40 clinics representing turnover of €529 million) will form the second largest private hospital group in France and marks a new milestone in the sector's consolidation.
The acquisition was accompanied by the conclusion of a memorandum of understanding with Icade Santé to outsource part of the Vitalia group's real-estate portfolio.
Finalisation of the takeover of Vitalia, which is subject to approval by the competition authorities and the opinion of the relevant employee representative bodies, is expected to take place in the final quarter of 2015.
