CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre Lyon appoints a partner to strengthen employment-law litigation activities

CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre Lyon, a subsidiary of CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre, is pleased to announce the promotion of Pierre Combes to partner. Pierre is legal counsel for litigation in labour law, social-security law and social-protection law. This appointment will take effect on 1 July 2017, and Pierre will be involved in developing the firm's activities in employment-law litigation.

Pierre Combes, 41, joined CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre Lyon in January 2012. He was made legal counsel in October 2014 and currently coordinates litigation cases related to labour law and social-security law, for individuals and collective labour relations, within the employment-law department. He works with Pauline Pichon and Charlotte Brachet, both experienced lawyers.

Pierre Combes has a master's degree in employment law and labour relations from the Labour Studies Institute at Université Lumière Lyon 2. He also holds a master's degree in legal studies from Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3. He obtained specialised qualifications in labour law, social-security and social-protection law in December 2016.

Pierre Combes's promotion to partner will help ensure the long-term growth of CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre Lyon's employment-law litigation activities, in synergy and close collaboration with other partners in the employment-law department (Françoise Albrieux-Vuarchex, Guillaume Bossy and François Coutard) and their teams as well as with other departments within our firm and CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre (Paris), whose employment-law team comprises 65 lawyers.

At a time when employment law is evolving and important legal, economic, human and ideological questions are being raised within companies, CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre Lyon is strengthening its employment-law litigation activities. This will enable the firm to more effectively meet the needs of small and large companies alike.

As of 1 July 2017, the Lyon office comprises 29 partners out of a total of 95 lawyers. The employment-law department has 4 partners, 1 Counsel, 14 associates and 4 secretaries.
