Anne-Sophie Rostaing joined CMS Francis Lefebvre in 2002 and became partner in 2016.

She formerly worked in the Tax practice of Baker & McKenzie (Paris) and in the Tax department PSA Peugeot Citroën, French car manufacturer (Paris).

A specialist in corporate tax, Anne-Sophie assists French and international companies with the tax structuring of their reorganisations and M&A projects (including cross-border operations), French tax consolidation rules and tax litigation.

She has developped a specific expertise in real estate taxation (and notably in French property investment funds such as SIIC, OPCI and SCPI).

Graduated from HEC (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, France's premier Business School, Paris), she holds a DESS in French tax and corporate law (LLM-equivalent) from University Pantheon Sorbonne.

Relevant operations:

  • Day-to-day assistance to industrial groups and real estate companies (construction companies, real estate developers, listed or unlisted real estate companies, management companies of real estate funds such as SCPI or OPCI)
  • Tax structuring of numerous restructuring operations, merger & acquisitions (including cross-border) and LBOs in the industrial, construction, insurance, pharmaceutical and real estate sectors
  • Assistance of French and foreign groups for the structuring of French property investment funds (SIIC and OPCI)
  • Assistance for acquisition or sale projects of real estate portfolios (tax due diligence, tax structuring) or the outsourcing of real estate assets of companies operating in various industries
  • Assistance during tax audits and tax litigation proceedings before French and EU jurisdictions

Her main clients include REITs, real estate management companies, real estate developers, privately-owned real estate groups, as well as large French and international groups operating mainly in the industrial, construction and insurance sectors.
