For fee-earners at CMS, the career structure looks broadly as set out below.
Your career with CMS will be rich in variety, opportunity and development. The career structure is based on what you can do, not on time served. As a result, it is flexible and accommodates those who are progressing at different speeds, who are working less than full time and/or who have come to a career in law via a non-typical route.
Our competency framework sets out for trainees, lawyers, associates and senior associates exactly what you need to be able to deliver at each stage of your career.
We support senior associates in the run up to partnership through our Senior Associate Development Centre and provide one to one support around the development and delivery of business plans and other development needs as required.
For partners, we have adopted a Partner Excellence Framework which sets out our expectations of partners at our firm.
