Anna Zsófia Horváth is an associate in the Commercial and TMT teams at CMS Budapest, advising on data protection, technology, and e commerce matters. She supports clients across the data economy, including EU and global privacy compliance, data driven business models, as well as AI compliance. Anna regularly advises on a range of regulatory matters and assists clients in deploying new technologies and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements.

As a secondee to the e commerce trust and safety team of a leading social media and short video platform, she supported platform governance and content related processes.

Before joining CMS, Anna worked at the European Data Protection Supervisor’s office, where she was involved in drafting briefings about current policy-making processes. She also contributed to preparing the EDPS opinion on the Commission’s White Paper on Artificial Intelligence.

  • A large energy and industrial technology company on developing its AI contract negotiation framework and supplier playbooks. 
  • A rapidly scaling global airline on building its end-to-end data protection governance and compliance framework. 
  • OTP Bank’s fintech affiliate, SimplePay on data protection compliance and day-to-day operational issues arising from payment processing activities.
