Boldizsár is an associate in the dispute resolution practice group at CMS Budapest.

Boldizsár joined CMS Budapest in 2017, following two years spent at the Paris Office of a major international law firm as an intern and legal advisor on an ICSID dispute.

He has extensive experience in international commercial arbitration, including multiple large construction, post-M&A,  contractual and international sales of goods disputes administered under the ICC, VIAC and Hungarian Permanent Arbitration Court rules, as well as in ad hoc arbitration.

Boldizsár also advises on and acts in public administrative and constitutional law cases against state entities and state-owned enterprises arising from regulatory, compliance and public procurement disputes, as well as in associated damages claims stemming from the infringement of public international law, EU law and Hungarian public law.

  • A Hungarian-Japanese joint venture company in a construction dispute before the Hungarian Permanent Court of Arbitration.
  • A Hungarian construction, oil and gas company in a gas pipeline construction arbitration under the ICC Rules.
  • Ryanair on numerous administrative law cases with the Hungarian aviation, competition and consumer protection authorities and agencies. 
  • Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH in an EUR 90m dispute regarding an automated fare collection development project administered under the ICC Rules.
  • A multinational insurance company in a post-M&A dispute under the VIAC Rules.
  • Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Co. in an EUR 14.3m insurance claim arising from the sinking of the Hableány ship in 2019.
  • A Middle Eastern medical equipment supplier in a contractual dispute with the application of the CISG and administered in ad hoc arbitration.
  • Strabag, Colas Alterra Zrt, Hid Zrt, and A-Híd Zrt. in a high-value dispute against the Municipality of Budapest concerning alleged flaws in the Budapest Wastewater Treatment Plant.
  • Telenor Satellite Broadcasting AS in damages case arising from a public procurement dispute relating to satellite broadcast services offered to a state-owned media company.
  • A large German media group in arbitration before the Hungarian Permanent Court of Arbitration. 
  • One of the largest German banks in two litigation proceedings. 
  • A French investor against a Central European state in recognition and enforcement proceedings of an award in accordance with the ICSID Convention.
  • A member of the team representing a French investor against a Central European state in an ICSID arbitration brought under a BIT and arising out of tax reforms.
