Eszter is a senior counsel supporting the work of the commercial practice group and Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector group in the Budapest office.

She has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of technology, media, and telecommunications contracts and agreements, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, digital platforms, and cybersecurity and NIS2 compliance matters.

Eszter also has considerable experience in supporting companies in the telecom and media sector, from regulatory work to day-to-day commercial support. Eszter also has a thorough knowledge of gambling and gaming law. 

Before joining international law firms, she worked as in-house counsel for the largest commercial broadcasting company in Hungary. Eszter is recommended by Legal 500 in the TMT category.

  • A major US hyperscaler on a global scale regarding artificial intelligence, cloud, complex regulatory issues and business-critical projects, including an innovative managed legal services project spanning 28 jurisdictions. 
  • A global company for video game hardware, software, and digital gaming services on its compliance framework for the Digital Services Act. 
  • A short-form video hosting service on regulatory matters regarding its presence in Hungary.
  • The film and television production arm of a global technology and e-commerce company on the introduction of a subscription and monthly fee model to its streaming platform. Eszter provided multijurisdictional media law and regulatory advice, managing and coordinating the legal workstreams.
  • A Hungarian information technology and telecommunications services company as strategic legal counsel on the complex restructuring of telecommunications infrastructure operations related to fixed-line services.

  • A Lithuania-based online marketplace on its entry into the Hungarian market and subsequent operations, covering commercial and regulatory issues. 
  • A major telecommunications company on a demerger and infrastructure transfer. Eszter provided strategic legal counsel on the complex demerger of passive radio infrastructure into a newly established entity. 
  • A major telecommunications company on all content acquisition matters, including negotiating, drafting and reviewing programme distribution agreements for various platforms and an OTT service, licence agreements for VoD and SVoD services, and in various media and ECS regulatory matters.
