Gábor Bertók has been a senior associate in the Commercial team at CMS Budapest since 2020.

He has extensive experience in general commercial and intellectual property law, data protection as well as public procurement matters. Gábor has been a member of the Budapest Bar Association since 2017.

Before joining CMS, he gained experience working for a reputable domestic law firm specialising in intellectual property law. He has also been a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology group at a leading international law firm during his career.

While at CMS he has also gained in-house experience with a data protection focus.

  • An international client on a Hungarian trademark infringement case.
  • An international client on a Hungarian domain dispute.
  • An international client on an assessment of its competitors’ data processing agreements.
  • Several clients on software and other related copyright disputes, and on licence and IP transfer agreements.
  • Several international and domestic film production companies on film production agreements and licence, location and production contracts, and providing day-to-day IP consultancy.
  • A domestic affiliate of a multinational client in a high-value public procurement procedure and subsequent dispute resolution.
  • A well-known international scientific publisher on its licence agreements in Hungary.
  • A reputable child health foundation on a wide variety of pro bono matters.
