Júlia Bokor joined the commercial practice group at CMS Budapest as an associate in 2025, bringing with her a broad background in intellectual property. 

She guides clients on intricate copyright and trademark concerns as well as commercial regulatory matters. Júlia is skilled in preparing, analysing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including those related to general commercial transactions.

Júlia previously gained valuable experience at another prestigious law firm, where she specialised in entertainment law. She advises clients in the film industry, offering comprehensive legal support on both production and financing matters. Her responsibilities included drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, as well as assisting clients with complex financing structures for film projects.

Relevant experience

  • Several international and domestic film production companies on film production agreements and licences, location and production contracts, and day-to-day IP issues.
  • On financing for movies including negotiating collateral agreements.
  • International clients on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including issues related to copyright, trademark, and patent protection. She advises on intellectual property-related contracts, including software licensing, IP assignments, and marketing agreements, for Siemens and SimplePay. 
  • Clients in safeguarding their IP rights and navigating complex domestic and cross-border legal frameworks. Her practice encompasses the management of trademark portfolios for various corporate clients and the patent portfolio for Syngenta Corp. 
  • A leading Hungarian low-cost airline on managing commercial agreements, including the review and negotiation of a variety of contracts ranging from low to high risk.
  • Secondment to Europe’s leading low-cost airline. This immersive role provided Julia with hands-on exposure to high-volume commercial operations, cross-border contract expertise, and aviation industry regulatory knowledge in a fast-paced, international environment.
